Why We Like It This is by far the best divers watch IWC has every produced. It also might be the cleanest, most capable diver ever released period. The watch wears extremely light being made out of titanium and is also very durable. This is IWC at its best, with no-nonsense design and is a pure tool watch. The GST Aquatimer 2000 can reach 2000 meters in this thin case watch with no need for a helium relief valve.
Notes This GST Aquatimer 2000 was bought to be our personal watch. I ended up deciding to sell it when another diving watch became available that I just couldn't pass up. I bought a new OEM IWC rubber strap and buckle for the watch since I prefer the watch on rubber. The watch also comes with the titanium bracelet and has all of its links, which is extremely rare. The bracelet will easily fit an 8" wrist. There are light scratches on the bracelet and a few on the case, but they can be polished out if needed. There is a tiny nick on the bottom left lug, but isn't very noticeable. This is a one owner watch and was sold to them in 2003. The watch has never been polished or serviced and still has the original IWC crown, not the service crown. Watch runs 0 to -5 seconds on our timegrapher. When first wound it runs slower for about 30 minutes. Comes with double boxes, papers and open warranty card. The box is flaking which is common for its age. This is an extremely rare find.
DescriptionThe IWC GST Aquatimer 2000 Titanium IW353601 stands as a remarkable achievement in the world of luxury dive watches, embodying the perfect blend of IWC's legendary craftsmanship and innovative design. Crafted from lightweight yet incredibly strong titanium, this watch is designed to withstand the extreme pressures of deep-sea exploration, boasting an impressive water resistance of up to 2000 meters. Its striking case, measuring 42mm in diameter, is both robust and comfortable on the wrist, making it suitable for both professional divers and watch enthusiasts alike. At its core, the IWC GST Aquatimer 2000 Titanium houses the robust Calibre 37524 automatic movement, a modification of the reliable ETA 7750. This movement is known for its precision and durability, making it an ideal choice for a high-performance dive watch. The watch features a 42-hour power reserve, ensuring that it keeps time accurately even when not worn daily. Additionally, the movement is encased in a soft-iron inner case, providing protection against magnetic fields, a significant consideration for those exposed to such environments. This thoughtful inclusion underscores IWC's attention to the practical needs of its wearers.
The design of the IWC GST Aquatimer 2000 Titanium is a masterclass in functional elegance. Its clean, uncluttered dial is a hallmark of IWC's design philosophy, offering a balance of aesthetic appeal and practicality. The titanium bracelet complements the case, providing strength and a lightweight feel, while the integrated bracelet extension system ensures a comfortable fit over a diving suit. The watch exudes a sense of rugged sophistication, making it suitable for both underwater expeditions and everyday wear. This timepiece is not just a tool for divers but a testament to IWC's commitment to creating watches that are as stylish as they are functional.
