  • HYT has carved a niche for itself with its groundbreaking fluidic time display mechanism. This year, HYT marks a new chapter with the launch of the T1 Series, a collection that celebrates contemporary elegance on the wrist. To commemorate this milestone, HYT presents the T1 Millésime Edition – a limited-edition trio of timepieces that redefine the boundaries of horological artistry.

Before we delve into the specifics of the T1 Millésime Edition, it's important to understand the rich history of HYT. Founded in 2012, HYT burst onto the scene with a revolutionary concept – displaying time through the movement of liquids. This audacious idea challenged the traditional norms of watchmaking and captured the imagination of watch enthusiasts worldwide. The brand’s inaugural model, the H1, was a testament to their ingenuity, earning them the prestigious Innovation Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in 2012.

Over the years, HYT has continued to push the boundaries of horological innovation, refining its fluidic time display mechanism and creating timepieces that are both technically impressive and visually captivating. The T1 Series, launched earlier this year, is a testament to their commitment to evolution, offering a more refined and ergonomic design while staying true to the brand's DNA.

The T1 Series represents a significant step forward for HYT, introducing a more compact and wearable design without compromising on the brand's signature aesthetics. The collection is characterized by its subtly faceted octagonal case, a fully closed dial for enhanced legibility, and a range of vibrant colorways that resonate with the contemporary spirit.

At the heart of each T1 timepiece lies the iconic fluidic time display mechanism, a marvel of engineering that showcases the passage of time through the controlled movement of two immiscible liquids within a capillary tube. This mesmerizing display, protected by seven patents, is a testament to HYT’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of horological innovation.

The T1 Millésime Edition takes the T1 Series to new heights, introducing three exclusive colorways – purple, green, and chocolate – that will be available for a limited time only, from September 2024 to April 2025. Each color has been carefully chosen to evoke the spirit of the fall-winter season, adding a touch of warmth and sophistication to the T1's contemporary design.

The green dial variant, as showcased in the accompanying image, exudes a sense of understated luxury. The deep green hue, reminiscent of lush forests, pairs beautifully with the titanium and DLC titanium case, creating a striking contrast that is both bold and refined. The vertical grain satin finish on the dial catches the light in a mesmerizing way, further enhancing the watch's visual appeal.

The purple dial option offers a more vibrant and playful aesthetic. The rich purple tone, reminiscent of twilight skies, adds a touch of whimsy to the T1's design. The black fluid used in the capillary tube creates a dramatic contrast against the purple dial, making the time display even more captivating.

Finally, the chocolate dial variant, housed in a luxurious 5N gold and DLC titanium case, is the epitome of opulence. The warm chocolate hue, reminiscent of rich cocoa beans, complements the golden case perfectly, creating a harmonious and sophisticated look. The red fluid used in this model adds a touch of vibrancy, further enhancing the watch's visual appeal.

The T1 Millésime Edition is presented in two distinct case variations, each exuding its own unique charm. The first is a harmonious blend of titanium and black DLC titanium, offering a contemporary and sporty aesthetic. The second, reserved for the chocolate dial variant, is a more opulent combination of 5N gold and DLC titanium, adding a touch of extravagance to the watch's overall appeal. Both cases measure a comfortable 45mm in diameter, striking the perfect balance between wrist presence and wearability. The subtly faceted octagonal shape adds a touch of geometric intrigue, while the smooth curves ensure a comfortable fit on the wrist.

The dial of the T1 Millésime Edition is a masterpiece in its own right. The vertical grain satin finish, applied to the colored brass surface, creates a mesmerizing play of light that draws the eye in. The rhodium-plated appliqués and white decals, coated with Super-LumiNova for enhanced legibility in low-light conditions, add a touch of refinement. But the true star of the show is the borosilicate capillary tube, filled with either red or black liquid depending on the model, that snakes its way around the dial's periphery. This is where the magic of HYT's fluidic time display comes to life. As the hours pass, the colored liquid advances, its meniscus marking the current hour with mesmerizing precision.

Powering the T1 Millésime Edition is the hand-wound 501-CM caliber, a complex and sophisticated movement comprising 352 meticulously crafted parts. Beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, this exclusive HYT manufacture caliber delivers a 72-hour power reserve, ensuring that your timepiece keeps ticking even when you're not wearing it. The movement's intricate workings are visible through the open sapphire case back, allowing you to admire the mechanical ballet that drives the fluidic time display.

Each T1 Millésime Edition comes with two straps – one matching the dial color and a versatile black option. Crafted from supple rubber, these straps taper elegantly towards the case, ensuring a seamless integration with the watch's architecture. The straps are also equipped with a new quick-release system, allowing you to effortlessly swap them out to suit your mood or occasion. A titanium or PVD titanium pin buckle, depending on the case material, secures the watch comfortably on the wrist.

The titanium models, featuring the green and purple dials, are priced at CHF 50,000 (excluding taxes), while the 5N gold and titanium model with the chocolate dial is priced at CHF 66,000 (excluding taxes).

The HYT T1 Millésime Edition is more than just a collection of exquisite timepieces; it's a celebration of HYT’s unwavering commitment to innovation and craftsmanship. Each watch is a testament to the brand's ability to push the boundaries of horological artistry, creating timepieces that are both technically impressive and aesthetically captivating.
