The case features a distinctive blasted finish, contributing to its rugged aesthetic while measuring 12.5mm thick with a lug-to-lug length of 48mm. The watch is equipped with a screw-down crown and case back, ensuring water resistance to a depth of 50 atmospheres (equivalent to 500 meters). A unidirectional rotating bezel, a crucial feature for divers, is fitted with a blue aluminum insert and features printed indexes filled with SuperLuminova C3 for optimal visibility in low-light conditions.

A scratch-resistant, flat sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating protects the blue dial. Powering the 1521 Blue Blasted Leather is a Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement. This self-winding caliber operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and boasts a 38-hour power reserve. The movement, classified as 'Elaboré' grade by Sellita, contains 26 jewels and provides reliable timekeeping.
