DescriptionThe Sinn 144 St DIAPAL, reference 144.068, represents a culmination of horological engineering. Central to its design is the integration of Sinn's proprietary DIAPAL Technology. This lubricant-free anchor escapement utilizes a meticulously selected combination of materials, designed to eliminate friction without the need for traditional lubrication. This innovation contributes towards sustained precision of timekeeping. The chronograph mechanism also features Ar-Dehumidifying Technology. The introduction of this technology creates a near-completely dry environment for the movement, mitigating aging effects often caused by moisture. It prevents fogging of the crystal when rapid temperature reduction occurs.

Powering the 144 St DIAPAL is the LJP 8000 self-winding movement, visible through the sapphire crystal case back, which has anti-reflective treatment on its interior surface. This caliber features 28 bearing jewels, operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour. It will include a seconds stop function. The movement delivers antimagnetic capability as detailed by DIN 8309 specifications. The exterior is comprised of a bead-blasted stainless steel case, that measures 41mm in diameter, with a lug width of 20mm, and a case thickness of 14.2mm. The physical construction will provide the screw-fastened case back, and screwable crown, meet the standards specified in DIN 8310 for water resistance. It holds a pressure resistance rated to 20 bar, and is low-pressure resistant. The design includes an anthracite electroplated dial, with luminescent coating applied to the numerals, indices, hour hand, minute hand, and hand utilized in the second time zone subdial, which is presented on a 12-hour basis. The dial's outer chapter ring has both tachymeter and pulsometer scales. Furthermore, the watch incorporates Sinn's Temperature Resistance Technology, which ensures reliable functional integrity within a range of -45 °C to +80 °C. The weight is 90 grams without any attachment.
