Quick TakeThe 936 is not just a watch; it's a statement of purposeful engineering worn on the wrist. The bicompax layout on the deep, matte black dial gives off a cool, collected vibe. The subtle rhodium-plated hands, while understated, speak of quality, and those counter rings with their fine grooves? Pure class. Sinn didn't just slap a chronograph together, they reimagined it with that 60-minute stopwatch. This is more than cool; it's actually helpful. This watch is for the person that appreciates the value of functional form. With a vintage-look strap and the TEGIMENT case it will be ready to weather what your life can throw at it. It's the companion for someone who isn't afraid to get into the thick of things, knowing their wristwear can handle it without losing its cool composure. The 936 is, in a single, understated way, a beautiful piece of German engineering.
DescriptionThe Sinn 936, reference 936.010, represents a sophisticated approach to chronograph design, focusing on legibility and robustness. At its core, the watch features the Sinn SZ05 self-winding movement. This mechanism, a significant redesign, offers a 60-minute stopwatch register, a departure from the typical 30-minute counter, simplifying time measurement readings. The movement incorporates 26 bearing jewels and operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour, delivering reliable timekeeping. It also includes a seconds stop function for precise time setting, and it fulfills the anti-magnetic criteria as detailed in DIN 8309 standard. The movement alterations provide great clarity, with the stopwatch placed at the three o'clock position, as well as normal running seconds placed at nine o'clock.
The 936.010's case, with a diameter of 43mm and a thickness of 15mm, is constructed from stainless steel featuring a blend of satinized and polished finishes. The case incorporates Sinn's TEGIMENT technology, significantly enhancing its scratch resistance. A key feature of the watch's build is the Magnetic Field Protection, shielding the movement from magnetic fields up to 100mT (equivalent to 80,000 A/m). The sapphire crystal glass, used on the front of the watch, is treated with an anti-reflective coating on both sides. The case back is screw-fastened and notably nickel-free, while the crown is of a screwable design. The watch meets the water-resistance specifications defined by DIN 8310, achieving a rating of 10 bar (pressure-resistant) and it maintains its integrity at low pressures. The 936 features push-pieces enhanced with the D3-System. The lug width which accommodates the strap measures 22mm. The bare watch itself weights a mass of 111 grams.
