DescriptionThe Sinn 910 SRS, reference 910.020, represents a sophisticated execution of the flyback chronograph complication. At its core, the watch utilizes a modified Valjoux 7750 Flyback self-winding movement. This movement, containing 27 bearing jewels, operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour (4 Hz), providing a balance of accuracy and reliability. The movement incorporates a seconds stop function, also known as hacking, permitting precise time setting. It is constructed for robustness with shock resistance in accordance with DIN ISO 1413 standards and is anti-magnetic, conforming to DIN 8309 standards. A classic column wheel mechanism controls the start, stop and reset sequences and is a step up from cam actuated systems. The Flyback allows for rapid restarting of timing.
The 910.020's case is crafted from stainless steel, combining polished and satinized finishes for visual contrast. The case dimensions measure 41.5 mm in diameter, a thickness of 15.1 mm, and a lug width of 22 mm. It weighs 89 grams without the strap. The front crystal is sapphire, treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides to enhance legibility under various lighting conditions. The case back, also made of sapphire crystal, is screw-fastened and offers an anti-reflective coating on its interior surface, providing a clear view of the decorated movement. Water resistance and pressure resistance is guaranteed to 10 bar, meeting the standards outlined in DIN 8310. Additionally, the watch is engineered to be resistant to low pressure. The crown and push-pieces feature Sinn's D3-System, enhancing the watch's operational reliability. The dial is augmented with manually attached appliqués, that add detail. A double scale, designed for indicating units per hour (such as kilometers), and a quarter-second scale which are provided for concise short-time measurements.
