DescriptionThe Sinn 836, reference 836.010, represents a synthesis of durability and precision engineering. Its construction centers around a 43mm diameter case crafted from stainless steel, which undergoes a satinizing and polishing process. A key feature is the application of Sinn's TEGIMENT technology to the case, substantially increasing its scratch resistance. The case back, however, is nickel-free and does not feature TEGIMENT technology, ensuring compatibility for individuals with nickel sensitivities. This case is engineered to withstand pressures up to 10 bar, corresponding to a water resistance depth of 100 meters, meeting the DIN 8310 standard for water resistance. It is also resistant to low-pressure environments. The overall case thickness measures 10.6mm, and it weighs 80 grams without the strap, contributing to a noticeable yet comfortable presence on the wrist. The watch integrates protection against magnetic fields, shielding the movement up to 100mT (80,000 A/m), complying with DIN 8309 standards for anti-magnetism.

At the heart of the 836 beats the ETA 2892-A2 self-winding mechanical movement. This caliber features 21 bearing jewels and operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour, providing a smooth sweep of the seconds hand. It incorporates a seconds stop function (hacking) for precise time setting. The movement powers the core functions: hours, minutes, and seconds, in addition to a date display. Legibility is improved via a matte black dial with indices coated with luminescent material. The hour and minute hands also receive a luminescent coating, creating optimal visibility under low-light conditions. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal glass treated with an anti-reflective coating on both sides to minimize glare. The attached strap measures 22mm at the lugs. The crown is screwable ensuring water integrity.
