The core of its construction centers on a satinized stainless steel case. This case measures 38.5 mm in diameter, with a lug width of 20 mm and an overall thickness of 11 mm. The design contributes to a weight of 65 grams, excluding the strap. The watch adheres to DIN 8310, certifying water and pressure resistance up to 20 bar. Furthermore, it possesses low-pressure resistance capabilities. Critical components are protected via a sapphire crystal exhibiting anti-reflective properties on both the interior and exterior surfaces. The screw-fastened case back is also made of the same sapphire crystal.

Powering the 556 I WT is the SW200-1, a self-winding mechanical movement. The movement operates at 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour and incorporates a seconds stop function. 26 bearing jewels are also integrated to aid operation. The engineering design helps it remain resistant to magnetic fields following DIN 8309 anti-magnetic specification. Its functions are the display of hours, minutes, and seconds. The dial showcases a color gradient transitioning from red to black, enhanced by a sunburst finish. It uses manually attached indices and appliques. The hour and minute hands, as well as the indices, are treated with a luminescent coating.
