DescriptionThe Sinn 1800 TITANDAMASZENER, reference 1800.060, represents a fusion of traditional forging techniques and advanced horological engineering. Limited to only 100 units, this watch is distinguished by its construction from TITANIUM DAMASCUS, a composite material created by layering and fire-welding titanium grade 2 and titanium grade 5. This meticulous process, executed in collaboration with BALBACHDAMAST, involves repeated folding and forging, resulting in a distinctive, organic pattern of contrasting light and dark striations across the material's surface. The one-piece dial and case center are milled from a solid block of this TITANIUM DAMASCUS, causing the Damascus pattern flow continuously across the components of the watch.

The case's inherent material properties are further enhanced through Sinn's proprietary TEGIMENT technology. This surface hardening process significantly increases the watch's scratch resistance. Achieving this hardening on the titanium Damascus composite presents a specific engineering obstacle, given the differing mechanical strengths and flow behaviors of grade 2 and grade 5 titanium during forging. The final aesthetic, with its characteristic texture, is revealed only after a precisely controlled etching process. This is technologically demanding, considering titanium's chemical resistance. The acid differentially dissolves the two titanium grades, creating the unique contrasting pattern. The screw-fastened case back and the screwable crown are also manufactured from TITANIUM DAMASCUS. The watch's core dimensions include a case diameter of 43 mm, a band lug width of 22 mm, and a case thickness of 10.4 mm. The weight, excluding the strap, is 50 grams. The 1800 TITANDAMASZENER is water and pressure-resistant up to 10 bar, fulfilling the technical specifications outlined in DIN 8310, and possesses low-pressure resistance. The watch meets antimagnetic properties, defined by standard DIN 8309. Powering the timepiece, inside is a Sellita SW300-1, a self winding mechanism with 25 bearing jewels, 28,800 semi-oscillations/hour and a second stop function.
