The case design integrates a screw-fastened case back, incorporating a sapphire crystal exhibition window, anti-reflective on the interior surface. A screwable crown contributes to the watch's overall water resistance, rated to 20 bar, equivalent to a depth of approximately 200 meters. Furthermore, the case meets the DIN 8310 technical standards, ensuring that it delivers on the listed water resistence specifications. The watch also maintains functionality under low-pressure conditions. The weight of the watch head, excluding any strap, is 73 grams.

Powering the 105 St Sa W is the SW 220-1 self-winding movement. This caliber features 26 bearing jewels and operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour (4 Hz). A seconds stop function, also sometimes referred to as a hacking-seconds feature, allows for precise time setting. The movement's construction adheres to DIN 8309 standards for anti-magnetism, and a degree of protection against magnetic fields. The watch functions include central hour, minute, and second hands.
