Its core is the LJP 8000 self-winding mechanical movement, operating at 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour and incorporating a seconds stop function for precise time setting. The movement features 28 bearing jewels and is anti-magnetic, conforming to DIN 8309 standards. The chronograph function itself is controlled via a column wheel mechanism. DIAPAL technology is a central feature, representing a lubricant-free escapement. This is achieved through specially selected material pairings that minimize friction, promoting long-term accuracy and reducing the need for traditional lubrication.

Further enhancing its resilience is the Ar-Dehumidifying Technology. This system ensures the movement is housed in a near-moisture-free environment, substantially decreasing the aging processes of components. The crystal is safeguarded against fogging, particularly during rapid temperature transitions. Its functionality extends to a very large temperature range. It is built to be functionally reliable between -45 °C and +80°C. The case, constructed from polished stainless steel, measures 41 mm in diameter, 17.2 mm in thickness, and features a 20 mm band lug width. A screw-fastened case back, made from sapphire crystal glass that is anti-reflective on the interior, allows for viewing of the movement. Both the crown and push-pieces are screwable, contributing to the watch's water and pressure resistance, certified to 20 bar, according to DIN 8310 standards and is low pressure resistant. The watch provides hours, minutes, and subsidiary seconds, along with a 12-hour second time zone function and a date display. A captive pilot's bezel with minute ratcheting and a luminous key mark is included. The dial is anthracite and electroplated, with indices, numbers along with hour, minute, and stopwatch second hands coated with luminescent material. Without the strap, the watch weighs 88 grams.
