Quick TakeThe 903 St II is far more than just a time-telling instrument; it's a legacy reborn. The redesigned case, a symphony of polished and satinized steel, houses the intricately decorated column-wheel chronograph movement. Admire the play of light on its sunburst-finished black dial, contrasted by the silver-electroplated bezel. The 903 is the kind of watch that will start converstions and will impress. This is no mere accessory; it is a high-precision companion for calculation. It is designed for the explorer. Feel the subtle click of the chronograph pushers, a tactile confirmation of its mechanical heart. Beyond its impressive 20-bar water resistance and antimagnetic properties, every detail, from the hand-applied hybrid ceramic luminous elements to the applied Sinn logo, reflects dedication. The smoothly rotating bezel and the reassurance of the sapphire crystal make for an experience that balances rugged engineering with refined aesthetics.
DescriptionThe Sinn 903 St II, reference 903.090, represents a complete technical redesign of the 903 series. Its core is the LJP L110 self-winding movement, a column-wheel chronograph mechanism beating at 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour. This movement possesses 26 bearing jewels, incorporates a seconds stop function for precise time setting, and is anti-magnetic in accordance with DIN 8309 standards. A substantial power reserve of at least 60 hours is provided when the L110 is fully wound. The movement's intricate decoration showcases a meticulous attention to mechanical artistry.
The 903 St II's 41mm diameter case, crafted from polished and satinized stainless steel, integrates a screw-fastened case back and a screwable winding crown. Protecting the dial is a sapphire crystal glass treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides, while the transparent case back, also made from sapphire crystal, is anti-reflective on its interior surface. This robust construction meets the stringent technical prerequisites for water resistance, as defined by DIN 8310 standards, ensuring water and pressure resistance up to 20 bar, and is certified for low-pressure environments. The dial is electroplated black with a sunburst decoration, complemented by a silver- electroplated bezel. The bezel is smoothly operated from the outer diameter, featuring a logarithmic scale that, coupled with the slide rule function, permits calculations of times, distances, or fuel consumption. The Tri-Compax layout features silver- electroplated counters. Hours, minutes, and subsidiary seconds are indicated, along with a date display and chronograph functions. The number "12" and indices consist of meticulously hand-attached hybrid ceramic luminous elements, and the hour and minute hands similarly utilize hybrid ceramic with luminous pigments for high light intensity in low light. The band lug width is 22 mm, and the weight of the watch head without a strap is 84 grams, the included configuration being a polished and satinized solid stainless steel bracelet. The case thickness of this time piece measures in at 14.5mm.
