The mechanical movement powering this chronograph is the SW 510, a self-winding caliber. The movement incorporates 27 bearing jewels to minimize friction and enhance longevity. It oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour (4 Hz), ensuring accurate timekeeping. A seconds stop function, also referred to as hacking, is incorporated, permitting precise time setting. The movement's architecture also includes anti-magnetic properties conforming to the DIN 8309 standard. The stated movement specifications reflect the manufacturing standards at Sinn's Frankfurt am Main facility, although minor variations might exist in stock held by authorized dealers.

The watch casing is fabricated from satinized stainless steel, contributing to a subdued, tool-watch aesthetic. This is the first time the 356 has had a bicompax dial. The watch comes with two straps, one is a Grey Nubuck boar leather strap, and the other is Sand-coloured. The straps are 20mm to match the 356's lug width.
