DescriptionThe Sinn U50 DS, reference 1050.034, is a purpose-built diving instrument meticulously engineered for professional use. Limited to a production run of 1,000 units, each watch possesses a unique dial due to the special decorative grinding process; No two dials share an identical surface. The case, measuring 41mm in diameter and 11.2mm in thickness, is constructed from bead-blasted German Submarine Steel, chosen for its high strength, seawater resistance and non-magnetic properties. This submarine steel ensures durability in demanding underwater conditions, and the material is a known entity among watch enthusiasts. The screw-fastened case back enhances the structural integrity. The entire case's robustness is improved. The watch, not including its strap weighs 74 grams.

The operational heart of the U50 DS is the SW300-1 self-winding movement. This caliber features 25 bearing jewels and operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour. This movement has a seconds stop function, allowing for precision time setting. It is also anti-magnetic, in compliance with DIN 8309 standards. A date display is located on the dial. The unidirectional captive diver's bezel, also constructed from German Submarine Steel, features minute ratcheting for precise measurement of elapsed time, incorporating a luminous key mark for enhanced visibility. Both the case and the bezel benefit from Sinn's TEGIMENT Technology, significantly increasing their scratch resistance. The crown, positioned at 4 o'clock, is screwable, contributing to the watch's overall water resistance and preventing discomfort on the wearer's wrist. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides to maximize legibility under various lighting situations.
