DescriptionThe Sinn reference 1010.031, known as the U1 B, is engineered for extreme underwater use. Its 44mm case is constructed from bead-blasted German Submarine Steel, a material renowned for its exceptional strength and resistance to seawater corrosion. This high-strength steel also provides the watch with non-magnetic properties, exceeding the requirements of DIN 8309 for anti-magnetism. The case thickness measures 14.7mm, contributing to the watch's robust presence, and the lug width accommodates a 22mm strap. The integrated blue silicone strap is specifically designed to complement the case, flowing seamlessly into the design. TEGIMENT Technology is applied to the case and the included large, bead-blasted stainless steel folding clasp. This hardening process dramatically increases the surface hardness, providing superior scratch resistance compared to standard stainless steel. The screw-fastened case back, along with the screwable crown positioned at 4 o'clock (to avoid pressure on the hand), contributes to a certified water resistance of 1,000 meters (100 bar).

Powering the U1 B is the Sellita SW 200-1 automatic movement. This self-winding mechanism features 26 bearing jewels and a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour. A seconds stop function is incorporated, allowing for precise time setting. The movement's operational integrity is maintained even at low pressures. Protecting the dial is a sapphire crystal, treated with an anti-reflective coating on both sides to maximize visibility under various lighting conditions. The matt-blue dial surface creates an high-legible backdrop, contrasting with the luminous white indices and hands. The diver's bezel, also crafted from German Submarine Steel and hardened with TEGIMENT Technology, features a minute ratcheting mechanism and a luminous key mark. Its captive design ensures it cannot be accidentally detached. The watch has been tested for temperature, water and pressure resistance to the EN 250 / EN14143 and DIN 8306, 8310.
