DescriptionThe Sinn U1 B, reference 1010.0102, is a purpose-built diving instrument engineered for extreme underwater environments. Its 44mm case is constructed from bead-blasted German Submarine Steel, selected for its high strength, superior seawater resistance, and non-magnetic properties. The case back is screw-fastened contributing to the substantial water resistance. The screwable crown, strategically positioned at 4 o'clock, avoids discomfort on the back of the hand during active use. Sapphire crystal glass, treated with an anti-reflective coating on both sides, protects the dial and provides optimal clarity. Case thickness measures 14.7mm, and the band lug width is 22mm. Without the strap, the watch head weighs 113 grams. The movement at the core of this timepiece is the SW 200-1, a self-winding mechanical caliber. This mechanism contains 26 bearing jewels and operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour. The SW 200-1 also features a seconds stop function for precise time setting and is antimagnetic as per DIN 8309 standard.

This model is equipped with a captive diver's bezel, also made from German Submarine Steel. The bezel's surface has been hardened using TEGIMENT Technology, rendering it exceptionally scratch-resistant. Its design incorporates minute ratcheting, facilitating accurate tracking of elapsed time, crucial for dive safety, and includes a luminous key mark. The U1 B meets the technical requirements for water resistance as defined in standard DIN 8310. The watch is certified as water and pressure-resistant to a diving depth of 1,000 meters (equivalent to 100 bar) by DNV, an independent institute. Additionally, DNV's testing and certification confirms its adherence to the European diving equipment standards EN 250 and EN14143, which govern temperature resistance and operational functionality, also defined as low-pressure resistant. The dial itself is finished in a distinctive matt-blue, with indices and hands coated with a luminescent material that provides excellent readability, even in low-light or underwater conditions. The watch features hour, minute, and second displays along with a date window.
