DescriptionThe Sinn T50 GBDR, reference 1052.020, represents a fusion of advanced materials and purpose-built design. The case, measuring 41mm in diameter and 12.3mm in thickness, is constructed from bead-blasted, high-strength titanium. This material selection ensures a lightweight yet exceptionally robust structure. The choice of high grade titanium provides unparalleled comfort. The band lug width is a standard 20mm. Without the strap, it is a lightweight design at 58 grams.

The unidirectional rotating diver's bezel is not made from traditional material. Sinn utilizes their proprietary Goldbronze 125. This patented alloy is comprised primarily of bronze and gold, for a composition noted for its heightened purity, contributing to improved skin compatibility and resistance to the corrosive effects of seawater. The alloy is engineered to develop a natural patina, offering an aesthetic evolving with use. The bezel itself features a captive design, securely attached to the case, with a safety mechanism requiring depression before rotation, guarding against unintentional adjustment. The T50 GBDR is equipped with Sinn's Ar-Dehumidifying Technology. This system mitigates the potential for internal fogging, a crucial factor in maintaining visibility under demanding conditions. The movement powering the T50 GBDR is the SW 300-1, a self-winding mechanical caliber. It incorporates 25 bearing jewels and operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour (4 Hz). A seconds stop function (also referred as hacking) is included, enabling precise time setting. The movement's construction is resistant to magnetic fields, conforming to the standards of DIN 8309.

The dial of the T50 GBDR is a matte black, designed for clarity. Indices, along with the hour hand, feature green luminescent paint, while the minute and second hands, together with the bezel's primary marker, possess a contrasting bluish luminescence. This differentiated color-coding facilitates accurate reading of dive times, even in low-light environments. The crown, positioned at the 4 o'clock location, avoids interference with wrist movement. Legibility is enhanced by the sapphire crystal, treated with an anti-reflective coating on both surfaces. The watch complies with DIN 8310 standards for water resistance. An independent institute certified the water resistance and pressure resistance rating of 50 bar, equivalent to a diving depth of 500 meters. Furthermore, the T50 GBDR has undergone testing in accordance with European diving equipment standards EN 250 and EN14143, receiving certification from a recognized independent testing body. The case back is securely screw-fastened, maintaining structural integrity, and the watch is also resistant to low-pressure conditions. The watch's functionalities include the display of hours, minutes, and seconds, along with a date aperture. Its designation as iF Design Award 2024 Winner underscores it’s design and function.
