DescriptionThe Yacht-Master 42 is equipped with a bidirectional rotatable bezel with a 60-minute graduated Cerachrom insert. The Cerachrom insert is a high-tech ceramic that is virtually scratchproof and resistant to ultraviolet rays. The bezel can be used to time events such as regattas or to calculate elapsed time between two points.

The watch has a black dial with Chromalight luminescent hour markers and hands. The Chromalight luminescent material is a Rolex innovation that provides long-lasting luminescence in low-light conditions.
