DescriptionThe watch's timekeeping functionality is powered by the Rolex Calibre 3235, a self-winding mechanical movement that is manufactured in-house by Rolex. The Calibre 3235 is a certified Swiss chronometer, meaning that it has undergone rigorous testing and is guaranteed to be accurate to within -2/+2 seconds per day. The movement also boasts a 70-hour power reserve, which ensures that the watch will continue to run for up to three days after it is removed from your wrist.

One of the most distinctive features of the Yacht-Master 42 is its bidirectional rotatable bezel. The bezel is graduated with a 60-minute scale, which can be used to time regattas or other events. The bezel is also made from a black Cerachrom insert, a high-tech ceramic material that is resistant to scratches, corrosion, and fading. The Cerachrom insert ensures that the bezel remains legible and functional for many years to come.
