DescriptionThe Rolex Sky-Dweller, reference 336238, is a complex timepiece designed for frequent travelers. The watch itself is housed in a 42 mm Oyster case crafted from 18 kt yellow gold. A hallmark of Rolex Oysters, the case features a monobloc middle case, a screw-down case back, and a screw-down winding crown. These features, along with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, contribute to the watch’s water resistance of up to 100 meters (330 feet). The time on the Rolex Sky-Dweller is displayed on a white dial with a chromalight display for exceptional legibility, even in low-light conditions. The watch features center hands for hours, minutes, and seconds, as well as a 24-hour display on an off-center disc. A fluted rotatable bezel equipped with Rolex’s Ring Command system allows wearers to easily set the watch’s various functions.

The Sky-Dweller’s functionality extends beyond basic timekeeping. The watch’s ingenious annual calendar mechanism automatically displays the correct date for all but one month of the year, requiring adjustment only on March 1st. An additional complication, the Saros annual calendar, displays the current month in a small window at the periphery of the dial.
