The watch itself is housed in a 42 mm Oyster case crafted from 18 kt Everose gold, a Rolex-developed pink gold alloy known for its resistance to fading and corrosion. The Oyster case architecture is designed to ensure exceptional water resistance, up to 100 meters (330 feet). The screw-down case back and winding crown further contribute to the water resistance. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens protects the watch dial.
