It is powered by the Rolex Calibre 3235, a self-winding mechanical movement with a 70-hour power reserve. The OysterSteel case is made from a 904L stainless steel alloy that is particularly resistant to corrosion. It is manufactured using a monoploc construction, which means that the middle case is formed from a single piece of metal. This construction provides superior strength and water resistance. The case back and winding crown are both screw-down, which helps to ensure that the watch remains water-resistant even at great depths.
