The watch features a 31 millimeter Oystersteel case, a robust and corrosion-resistant stainless steel alloy developed by Rolex. The monobloc middle case construction reinforces the waterproofness of the watch, and the screw-down case back and winding crown contribute to its water resistance of up to 100 meters (330 feet).

A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the pink dial, which features a sunray finish for a subtle play of light. The hour and minute hands are treated with a luminescent material called Chromalight, which emits a long-lasting blue glow for optimal readability in low-light conditions. The Rolex Oyster Perpetual 31 is powered by the self-winding Calibre 2232, a perpetual mechanical movement manufactured by Rolex. This COSC-certified chronometer movement is known for its accuracy and reliability, beating at a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour (4 Hz) and offering a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. The Calibre 2232 incorporates a Syloxi hairspring made of silicon, which is resistant to magnetism and temperature variations, further enhancing the timekeeping performance of the watch.
