The case is made of Oystersteel, a high-grade stainless steel alloy that is particularly resistant to corrosion. The case back is screw-down, which helps to ensure the water resistance of the watch. The dial of the Oyster Perpetual 31 is black and has a sunray finish, which creates a subtle radiating pattern.
