DescriptionThe Rolex Explorer 36 is a wristwatch crafted from Oystersteel, a Rolex-developed grade of 904L stainless steel chosen for its exceptional resistance to corrosion. The case measures 36 mm in diameter and features a monobloc middle case, a screw-down case back, and a screw-down winding crown. The Twinlock double waterproofness system ensures the watch remains water-resistant to a depth of 100 meters (330 feet). Protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, the black dial features large, luminescent 3, 6, and 9 numerals for optimal readability in all conditions. The hour and minute hands are also luminescent, and a sweep seconds hand completes the timekeeping display.

The Rolex Explorer 36 is equipped with the self-winding Calibre 3230, a Rolex-manufactured mechanical movement. This high-precision chronometer is COSC-certified to ensure exceptional timekeeping accuracy. The Calibre 3230 features a patented Chronergy escapement, which offers a high level of energy efficiency and is resistant to magnetism. The movement also boasts a blue Parachrom hairspring, which is likewise resistant to magnetism and temperature variations, and a high-performance Paraflex shock absorber system for enhanced shock resistance.

The Calibre 3230 delivers a 70-hour power reserve when fully wound. The Oyster bracelet is crafted from Oystersteel and features a folding Oysterlock safety clasp with an Easylink comfort extension link, which allows the wearer to fine-tune the fit of the bracelet for optimal comfort.
