A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the watch dial. The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Ref. 126518LN is equipped with a black Cerachrom bezel. The Cerachrom bezel is made from a high-tech ceramic that is virtually scratchproof and resistant to corrosion. The bezel features a tachymetric scale that allows the wearer to calculate speeds. The numerals and graduations on the tachymetric scale are deposited on the bezel using a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) process. This process ensures that the numerals and graduations are extremely legible.
