DescriptionThe Richard Mille RM 72-01 Le Mans Classic is a limited-edition (150 pieces) automatic winding flyback chronograph watch designed to commemorate the centenary of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans race. The watch's design is inspired by the world of endurance racing, with a lightweight and ultra-strong Quartz TPT® case that is reminiscent of a race car's chassis. The case is made from over 600 layers of parallel silica threads, which are saturated in resin and then woven together at a 45-degree angle. This unique construction process results in a material that is incredibly strong and lightweight, while also exhibiting a unique marbled pattern.

The RM 72-01 Le Mans Classic is powered by the in-house Calibre CRMC1, a self-winding movement with a flyback chronograph function. The movement is skeletonized, which means that the bridges and mainplate have been removed to reveal the intricate workings of the watch's mechanics. This not only makes the watch visually interesting, but it also helps to reduce its weight. The Calibre CRMC1 has a power reserve of approximately 50 hours and is water-resistant to 30 meters.
