DescriptionCrafted from high-tech materials and boasting a complex, tourbillon-equipped movement, the Richard Mille RM 38-02 Manual Winding Tourbillon Bubba Watson is a wristwatch engineered for exceptional performance and durability. The foundation of the watch is its baseplate, meticulously machined from Carbon TPT®. This innovative material is comprised of numerous layers of parallel filaments, each a mere 30 microns thick. These layers are saturated with resin and strategically oriented to create a remarkably strong and lightweight structure, resistant to microcracks and fractures. The intricate skeletonization of the Carbon TPT® baseplate further reduces weight while showcasing the intricate watchmaking beneath.

Complementing the baseplate are bridges crafted from grade 5 titanium. This biocompatible and corrosion-resistant material is highly rigid, ensuring the smooth operation of the gear train. The bridges, like the baseplate, have undergone rigorous testing to confirm theirsilience to the extreme forces encountered during a golf swing, which can reach up to 10,000 g's. At the heart of the RM 38-02 lies the manual winding Calibre RM38-02 movement. This complex mechanism features a tourbillon, a horological marvel that counteracts the negative effects of gravity on timekeeping. The free-sprung balance with variable inertia further enhances the watch's accuracy, while the central involute profile of the winding-barrel teeth and third-wheel Pinion ensures efficient torque transmission.

The RM 38-02's technical prowess extends to its case. Constructed from a combination of Carbon TPT® and pink Quartz TPT®, the case is not only exceptionally strong but visually striking. The Quartz TPT® is itself a remarkable material, composed of thin layers of silica threads meticulously woven and saturated with a unique pink resin developed specifically for Richard Mille. This meticulous process results in a captivating visual texture that is both uniform and completely unique. Ensuring the functionality of the watch in various conditions, the RM 38-02 boasts a water resistance of 50 meters.
