At its heart lies the ultra-thin calibre RMXP1, a masterpiece of miniaturization. The movement boasts a diameter of just 33.00 mm and a remarkable thickness of only 2.60 mm. This feat of engineering is achieved in part by the off-center placement of the automatic micro-rotor crafted from solid platinum. This decentralized rotor design frees up valuable space within the movement, contributing to the incredibly thin profile of the RM 033.

The calibre RMXP1 is a symphony of 29 jewels, with a free sprung balance featuring variable inertia. This type of balance wheel enhances shock resistance and overall chronometric performance. The regulator index is absent, replaced by four tiny adjustable weights positioned directly on the balance for more precise and repeatable adjustments. The baseplate, bridges, and balance cock are constructed from grade 5 titanium with Titalyt® treatment for the baseplate and black PVD coating for the bridges. This combination ensures exceptional rigidity, precise surface flatness for the gear train's perfect operation, and optimal movement stability. Every titanium component undergoes rigorous validation tests to guarantee the utmost strength.

The RM 033's case complements the ultra-thin movement seamlessly. Crafted with a diameter of 45.70 mm and a mere 6.30 mm in thickness, the round case embodies the signature Richard Mille design language. The curving case back, a hallmark of the brand, contributes to the watch's comfortable wearability. This tripartite case integrates the lugs seamlessly, ensuring a cohesive form. Remarkably, this thin profile also boasts 30 meters of water resistance, achieved using two Nitril O-ring seals.
