DescriptionThe Richard Mille RM 30-01 Automatic Winding with Declutchable Rotor is a complex and technically advanced watch. The movement, caliber RMAR2, is a skeletonized automatic-winding movement with hours, minutes, seconds, an oversized date display, a clutch engagement and power-reserve indicator, a function selector, and a declutchable variable-geometry rotor. The baseplate and bridges are made of grade 5 titanium, which is a biocompatible, highly corrosion-resistant and remarkably rigid alloy. The skeletonized baseplate and bridges were subjected to separate and extensive validation tests to ensure they met rigorous strength requirements.

One of the most notable features of the RM 30-01 is its declutchable rotor. This innovative system automatically disconnects the rotor from the winding barrel when the spring is fully wound. This helps to prevent overwinding and excess wear on the movement. The rotor is made of grade 5 titanium, with an 18K white gold weight segment and wings. The wings can be adjusted in five positions to optimize the winding efficiency of the rotor.

The RM 30-01 also features a number of other notable characteristics, including an oversized date display, a function selector, and a tripartite case. The watch is water resistant to 50 meters and is secured to the wrist with a rubber strap.
