This system, however, can introduce harmful debris into the winding barrel over time, negatively affecting the watch’s precision. The RM 030’s declutchable rotor eliminates this issue by automatically disconnecting the rotor from the winding mechanism when the power reserve reaches 50 hours. Conversely, when the power reserve dips below 40 hours, the rotor re-engages to ensure the watch remains wound. This ingenious feat of engineering is achieved through a specially developed gear system monitored by the power reserve indicator.

The caliber RMAR1 itself is a marvel of watchmaking, featuring a free sprung balance with variable inertia.
