DescriptionThe Richard Mille RM 16-01 Citron showcases the brand's expertise in material science and watchmaking. The case is constructed from a combination of Carbon TPT® and Quartz TPT, creating a lightweight and incredibly strong structure. The Carbon TPT is a composite material made from layers of carbon fibers that are saturated with a thermosetting resin and then braided together. This process results in a material that is incredibly strong and resistant to wear and tear. The Quartz TPT is a similar material, but it incorporates quartz fibers into the resin, which gives the material a unique, translucent appearance. The caseback of the RM 16-01 Citron is made from yellow Quartz TPT®, while the bezel and caseband feature a gradient of green and yellow TPT®. This combination of materials creates a striking visual effect that is sure to turn heads.

The dial of the RM 16-01 Citron is made from grade 5 titanium and features a colorful candy motif. The various candies are painted with acrylic paint and then lacquered by hand to create a lifelike appearance. The hands of the watch are made from black titanium and are coated with luminescent material for low-light visibility. The hour and minute hands are skeletonized, while the date wheel is located at the 4 o'clock position.
