DescriptionThe Porsche Design Chronograph 1 – Ice Race 2023 Edition, reference WAP0710140P0GP, represents a horological tribute to the GP Ice Race. Constructed with a focus on performance, the watch features a titanium case, glass bead blasted and polished, providing both durability and a distinctive aesthetic. The case measures 365 mm x 200 mm x 14 mm, with the watch itself having a weight of 200g. A threaded crown contributes to the timepiece's water resistance, rated up to 10 bar. The case back is a closed, threaded design crafted from titanium, and incorporates the historic original Porsche Design logo and features the laser engraving of the GP signet, depicting a Yeti on a tractor. The watch back is numbered, as it is limited to 250 pieces.

The dial, protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a seven-fold anti-glare coating on both sides and a hard coating, is designed for optimal legibility. It features a matte black finish, contrasted by white second, minute, and hour hands. Fluorescent hour markers, further enhanced by Superluminova on both the dial and hands, improve visibility in low-light conditions. The watch is powered by the Porsche Design caliber WERK 01.240, a COSC-certified automatic movement with a flyback function. This movement, developed in Porsche's own watch factory in Solothurn, Switzerland, operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and contains 25 jewels. It provides a power reserve of 48 hours. An innovative quick-change date display and a bilingual day display add to the functional utility, accompanied by a tachymeter scale. An interchangeable strap system facilitates easy switching between the included textile/leather 'Mankei strap' (in recognition of the new GP destination) and the standard black strap.
