The watch features a 44.25 millimeter diameter case crafted from white ceramic. The ceramic case is formed using a process known as slip casting, where a mold is filled with a liquid ceramic slurry that hardens over time. The hardened ceramic is then machined to its final shape using computer numerical control (CNC) machines. The caseback of the Speedmaster White Side of the Moon is solid ceramic, featuring a polished finish. The white ceramic case is complemented by a white ceramic bezel ring with a tachymeter scale. The tachymeter scale is a calibrated scale that allows the wearer to measure speeds over a fixed distance based on elapsed time. The bezel ring features a matte black tachymeter scale with markings calibrated to 500 kilometers per hour.
