DescriptionThe Omega Speedmaster Racing Master Chronometer boasts a complex and impressive array of features, housed within a striking 44.25 millimeter case crafted from 18K Sedna™ gold. The rose gold alloy offers a unique aesthetic, boasting a warm and distinctive reddish hue. The caseback is crafted from polished stainless steel, engraved with a variety of information including the watch’s reference number, material, and water resistance. A domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides sits atop the case, offering a clear view of the dial and protecting it from scratches and other damage. The sapphire crystal is highly durable and resistant to shattering, making this timepiece well-suited for everyday wear.

The watch’s bezel is constructed from blue ceramic, a remarkably tough and scratch-resistant material. The bezel features a tachymeter scale, a measurement tool historically used to determine speed based on time elapsed. The tachymeter markings are crafted from Omega Ceragold™, a ceramic material enhanced with 18K gold for a luxurious touch. The blue color of the ceramic bezel complements the blue sun-brushed dial, creating a unified and sophisticated aesthetic. The sun-brushed blue dial features a racing style minute track with printed indices, lending the timepiece its namesake racing character. The hour and minute hands are crafted from 18K Sedna™ gold and filled with white Super-LumiNova for exceptional low-light readability. The central chronograph hand, also crafted from 18K Sedna™ gold, sweeps around the dial to measure elapsed seconds. The dial also features two subdials in a matching blue color. The subdial located at the 3 o’clock position displays the continuously running seconds, while the subdial at the 9 o’clock position displays the recorded minutes for the chronograph timer. A date window is positioned at 6 o’clock, seamlessly blending into the color of the dial for a discreet yet functional complication.

The Omega Speedmaster Racing Master Chronometer is powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber 9901, a sophisticated self-winding mechanical movement. The Co-Axial escapement technology minimizes friction within the movement, contributing to exceptional chronometric performance and long-lasting precision. The movement has been METAS certified, meaning it has undergone rigorous testing to ensure it meets the industry’s highest standards for magnetism, water resistance, chronometric performance, and power reserve. The caliber 9901 boasts a power reserve of approximately 60 hours, providing ample timekeeping performance between winding. The timepiece is secured to the wrist with a blue alligator leather strap.
