DescriptionThe Omega Speedmaster 57 is a chronograph wristwatch with a 41.5 millimeter case diameter. The case is constructed from a combination of stainless steel and 18K yellow gold. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on both sides protects the watch face. The watch bezel is crafted from 18K yellow gold and features a tachymeter scale, a tool historically used to determine speed based on time and distance. The watch is water resistant to a depth of 100 meters or 10 bar.

The Omega Speedmaster 57 features a silvery white dial with black hour and minute hands. The hour markers are a combination of polished steel and applied faceted indexes with white Super-LumiNova luminescent coating for readability in low light conditions. A subdial located at the 3 o’clock position displays the chronograph’s 12-hour totalizer and 60-minute counter, and a subdial at 9 o’clock displays the running seconds. A central chronograph seconds hand tracks elapsed time, and a date window is positioned at 6 o’clock.

The Omega Speedmaster 57 is powered by the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9300, a self-winding mechanical movement with a silicon balance spring. The Co-Axial escapement contributes to the movement’s high precision and durability, and the silicon balance spring is resistant to magnetic fields. The movement is visible through the watch’s sapphire crystal case back and is decorated with Omega’s arabesque Geneva waves in a rhodium-colored finish.
