DescriptionThe Omega Speedmaster 57 is a chronograph wristwatch with a case diameter of 41.5 mm. The case is constructed from a blend of stainless steel and 18K red gold. The bezel is made of 18K red gold and features a tachymeter scale. A tachymeter is a scale that can be used to determine speed or distance traveled over a known time interval. The watch has a black dial with a sub-dial for the seconds hand at the 9 o'clock position and a sub-dial for the chronograph recorder at the 3 o'clock position. The chronograph recorder can track elapsed times up to 12 hours and 60 minutes. There is a central chronograph seconds hand and a date window located at 6 o'clock. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on both sides protects the watch dial. The watch is secured to the wrist by a bracelet made of 18K red gold and stainless steel. The bracelet features a butterfly clasp, which folds over itself to secure the watch to the wrist.

The Omega Speedmaster 57 is powered by the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9300 movement. This self-winding movement is resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. The Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9300 has achieved METAS certification which guarantees the movements precision, performance and resistance to magnetic fields. The movement also features a silicon balance spring, which is lightweight and resistant to shock and temperature changes. The Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9300 has a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. The watch is water resistant up to 100 meters or 10 bar.
