The polished and brushed case features a green aluminum tachymeter bezel with a tachymeter scale. The watch crystal is a scratch-resistant sapphire with an anti-reflective coating applied to both sides. The Speedmaster 38 boasts a water resistance of 10 bars, which is suitable for swimming and showering.

The opaline silvery dial features 18K yellow gold hour markers and hands. The hands are available in either 18K yellow gold or varnished green. The dial also includes three subdials: a chronograph subdial at the 3-oclock position, a small seconds subdial at the 9-oclock position, and a vertically oriented date window at the 6-o'clock position.
