Description
The Omega Speedmaster 38 is a mid-size chronograph wristwatch crafted from stainless steel. The case measures 38 millimeters in diameter and 14.7 millimeters in thickness. It is water resistant to 100 meters, making it suitable for wearing while swimming or showering. The watch features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective treatment on both sides for improved readability in all lighting conditions.
The Speedmaster 38 incorporates a tachymeter scale engraved on a grey aluminum ring along the bezel. Tachymeters are scales used to determine speed or rate based on time elapsed over a measured distance. The watch employs a chronograph function, which includes a stopwatch function that can be started, stopped, and reset using the pusher buttons located on the right side of the case. The chronograph complication also features a central sweep seconds hand and subdials for recording elapsed minutes and hours.
Timekeeping on the Omega Speedmaster 38 is powered by the Omega Co-Axial Calibre 3330, a self-winding mechanical movement. The Co-Axial Calibre 3330 is a chronometer-certified movement, meaning it has met stringent precision standards established by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS). This caliber oscillates at a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) and boasts a power reserve of approximately 52 hours. The movement can be viewed through the exhibition caseback on the back of the watch, which features a decorative Seamaster medallion. The Omega Speedmaster 38 features a white opaline silvery dial with 18K Sedna™ gold hour markers and hands. The watch also has a date window positioned at 6 o'clock. The stainless steel bracelet incorporates a butterfly clasp for ease of wear and security. The total weight of the watch is 132 grams. GenderWomen
