The watch features a 43.5 millimeter stainless steel case that is resistant to water up to 60 bar (600 meters or 2,000 feet). The caseback is made of alveol, a lightweight and strong material that is resistant to corrosion. The watch has a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective treatment on both sides. The bezel is a world-first polished bi-ceramic black and white bezel, with numerals and scaling in contrasting colors to differentiate between night and day.

The dial of the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Co-Axial Master Chronometer GMT is black ceramic and features Arabic numerals for hours and markers. There is a date window at the 3 o'clock position and a central GMT hand to track time in a second time zone. The hands and hour markers are coated with luminous material for low-light visibility.
