The watch case is crafted from black ceramic, a remarkably tough and scratch-resistant material that can withstand the rigors of deep-sea diving. The case measures 45.5 mm in diameter and 19.0 mm in thickness, and it boasts a lug-to-lug width of 52.4 mm. The black ceramic case is complemented by a brushed black ceramic unidirectional bezel. The bezel features a white enamel diving scale with a luminous triangle at the 12 o’clock position. The diving scale and the triangle are filled with white Super-LumiNova, a luminescent material that emits a green glow in low-light conditions, ensuring excellent underwater legibility.

The unidirectional rotational design of the bezel ensures that it can only be turned counter-clockwise, preventing accidental adjustments that could lead to miscalculations of dive time. The screw-down crown, located at the 3 o’clock position on the case side, further enhances the watch’s water resistance. The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean ETNZ Deep Black 600M is rated water-resistant to 60 bar (600 meters/2000 feet), making it suitable for saturation diving. The watch’s helium escape valve, located at 10 o’clock on the case, is another feature specifically designed for professional divers. During decompression dives, helium gas can become trapped inside the watch case. The helium escape valve allows this gas to safely escape, preventing the watch case from bursting.

The black ceramic dial of the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean ETNZ Deep Black 600M features a chronograph function with a central seconds hand, a 30-minute chronograph counter at 9 o’clock, and a small seconds counter at 6 o’clock. The chronograph pushers, located at 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock on the case side, are crafted from brushed black ceramic and feature turquoise accents that echo the color of the Emirates Team New Zealand logo. The dial also features a countdown indicator at 3 o’clock, a feature specifically designed for regatta racing.
