Description
The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M is a professional-grade diver's watch with a water resistance rating of 600 meters (60 bar). The watch features a 42 millimeter diameter stainless steel case. The caseback is transparent, allowing the wearer to view the Omega Co-Axial Calibre 8500 automatic movement within. The Co-Axial Calibre 8500 is a self-winding movement with a silicon balance spring and a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. The movement is resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss.
The black dial of the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M features luminous hands and hour markers for readability in low-light conditions. There is a date window located at the 3 o'clock position. The black ceramic rotating bezel is unidirectional. A unidirectional bezel can only be turned in one direction, which helps to prevent accidental movement of the bezel during a dive. The bezel features a diving scale, which can be used to keep track of elapsed dive time.
The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M is equipped with a helium escape valve. A helium escape valve is a safety feature that allows helium gas to escape from the watch after a deep dive. Helium gas can seep into a watch during a dive, and if it is not released, it can cause the watch crystal to pop off. The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M is mounted on a black rubber strap. The rubber strap is comfortable and durable, and it is well-suited for wear in water. The strap secures to the wrist with a fold-over clasp with a double push-button release. GenderMen
