The watch's black dial is protected by a domed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective treatment on both sides for exceptional clarity underwater or in low-light conditions.

The timekeeping functionality of the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M is powered by the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber 8500, a self-winding mechanical movement that has been certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) to withstand magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss.
