The watch features a 41-millimeter diameter case crafted from stainless steel. The polished stainless steel caseback features a sapphire crystal window that reveals the inner workings of the watch, including the Omega Master Chronometer Calibre 8900 movement. The blue ceramic dial features a laser-engraved Tokyo 2020 pattern, adding a unique and commemorative touch to the timepiece. The dial also features a date window at the 6 o'clock position and rhodium-plated hands and indexes that are filled with white Super-LumiNova for enhanced legibility in low-light conditions.

The Omega Master Chronometer Calibre 8900 is a self-winding movement that has been certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) to withstand magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. The movement also features a number of other advanced technical specifications, including a free sprung balance with a silicon balance spring, a Co-Axial escapement, and a three-level power reserve system that provides the watch with a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Tokyo 2020 150M is water-resistant to a depth of 150 meters (15 bar). This makes the watch suitable for swimming and recreational diving. The watch comes attached to a blue structured rubber strap with a folding clasp made of stainless steel.
