DescriptionThe Grand Seiko STGK023, a member of the Elegance Collection, is specifically designed with refined proportions for smaller wrists. Its stainless steel case measures 27.8mm in diameter, 33.5mm from lug-to-lug, and has a thickness of 11.2mm. The case construction draws inspiration from the 1967 classic 62GS, characterized by a bezel-free design that results in a seamless appearance. This seamlessness is achieved using the Zaratsu polishing technique which creates distortion-free surfaces. The case's sides feature precisely aligned diamonds, integrated to harmonize with the polished finish. The band, also constructed from stainless steel, has a width of 13mm and utilizes a three-fold clasp with a push-button release for secure fastening. The total band perimeter measures 190mm. The water resistance offered is 10 bar, suitable for everyday use and the magnetic resistance capability of the watch is rated at 4,800 A/m, protecting the movement from common magnetic fields.

Inside, the watch is powered by the Caliber 9S27, an automatic movement that also offers manual winding capability. This movement provides an approximate power reserve of 50 hours. The mean daily rate of the 9S27 movement, measured in six positions over 12 days before casing, is specified as +8 to -3 seconds per day. In normal usage, the expected accuracy is between +10 to -5 seconds per day. The movement comprises 35 jewels. The mizu hanada dial, a pale blue indigo shade, is decorated with a textured pattern. Eleven diamonds, totaling 0.08 carats, serve as hour markers. The timepiece features a see-through and Screw case back constructed of dual curved sapphire. The internal surfaces of the sapphire crystal have an anti-reflective coating for enhanced legibility. The total weight of the assembled watch is 75 grams.
