DescriptionThe Grand Seiko STGK013, part of the Elegance Collection, represents a harmonious blend of traditional design cues and contemporary engineering. Its exterior is constructed from stainless steel, measuring 30.6mm in diameter, 36.0mm from lug-to-lug, and with a thickness of 12.7mm. The case back is a see-through, screw-down design, allowing a view of the intricate movement within. Protecting the dial is a dual-curved sapphire crystal, treated with an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface to enhance readability and minimize glare. The bezel free design is reminicent of its hertiage with the 62GS. Every edge of the case is crafted with precision providing sharp lines. The bracelet, also stainless steel, features a 13mm width and is secured with a three-fold clasp, complete with a push-button release for ease of use. The total weight of the timepiece is 84 grams. The case is meticulously adorned with diamonds which is carefully done to provide a seamless feel.

The watch is powered by the Caliber 9S27, an automatic movement that also offers manual winding capability. This movement provides a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. Its performance is characterized by a mean daily rate of +8 to -3 seconds per day, measured under controlled conditions, while the normal usage accuracy ranges from +10 to -5 seconds per day. The Caliber 9S27 is resistant to magnetic fields up to 4,800 A/m and offers a water resistance of 10 bar, suitable for everyday wear and some water-related activities. The movement has an impressive 35 jewels. The dial is made with mother of pearl which is then set with diamonds. The Zaratsu polishing used is done completely by hand, an impressive feat.
