DescriptionThe Grand Seiko SBGW305 adheres to a traditional horological design, executed with a high level of precision manufacturing. Its stainless steel case measures 37.3mm in diameter, with a lug-to-lug distance of 44.3mm and an overall thickness of 11.7mm. External surfaces are finished using Grand Seiko's Zaratsu polishing technique, resulting in a distortion-free, mirror-like shine. The case incorporates a box-shaped sapphire crystal, treated with an internal anti-reflective coating to enhance legibility. A see-through case back, secured by six screws, offers a view of the movement. The bracelet is a multi-row design, also crafted from stainless steel, and secures with a three-fold clasp featuring a push-button release. It is made for a maximum wrist circumference of 200mm. The entire watch weighs 108 grams.

The watch is powered by the in-house Caliber 9S64, a manually wound movement. This caliber operates at a frequency that results in a mean daily rate accuracy of +5 to -3 seconds per day, as measured in six positions over 12 days prior to casing. Under normal wearing conditions, the accuracy range is specified as +10 to -1 seconds per day. The 9S64 movement features 24 jewels and offers a power reserve of approximately 72 hours (three days) when fully wound. The movement provides basic timekeeping functions, displaying hours, minutes, and central seconds. It possesses a magnetic resistance rated at 4,800 A/m, and offers basic splash resistance, though is not intended for submersion or exposure to significant amounts of water.
