DescriptionThe Grand Seiko SBGM221, part of the prestigious Elegance Collection, is meticulously constructed with a focus on functional precision and traditional aesthetics. Its exterior case, fabricated from stainless steel, presents a diameter of 39.5mm, a lug-to-lug measurement of 46.9mm, and a thickness of 13.7mm. The total weight of the timepiece is a mere 88 grams. Visibility into the intricate mechanical workings is provided via a see-through case back, secured by six precisely aligned screws. This is made from an extremely durable, box-shaped sapphire crystal. The sapphire is enhanced with an anti-reflective coating applied solely to the inner surface, minimizing glare and optimizing legibility under diverse lighting conditions. The brown strap is made of crocodile leather.

The timepiece is powered by Grand Seiko's in-house Caliber 9S66, an automatic movement that also accommodates manual winding. It includes a calendar-linked time difference adjustment function.
