Central to this watch is the Caliber 9S27, an automatic movement meticulously crafted within the Shizukuishi Watch Studio in Japan. This movement exemplifies a balance of compactness and elevated function, achieving a precision rate of +8 to -3 seconds per day. Furthermore, it maintains a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. The assembly and adjustment of each 9S27 movement are undertaken by hand, adhering to Grand Seiko's rigorous mechanical watchmaking standards. The daily rate mentioned has been tested for the movement alone before installing the dial and hands. Tested in an environment where external variables are controlled. The movement is then evaluated across six distinct positions for a span of 12 days.

The exterior case construction, of 18k rose gold, features a Zaratsu polish which aims to enhance the natural properties of the metal used. Embedded within the bezel are 42 diamonds, supplementing an additional 12 diamonds integrated into the mother-of-pearl dial. A final, larger diamond adorns the crown.
