Quick TakeThe SBGW260 is a nod to Grand Seiko's heritage. It feels like opening a time capsule, but with modern precision. It's a gorgeous throwback: not overly flashy, just beautiful. The rose gold case glows warmly, contrasting beautifully against that elegantly simple dial. The slim profile, thanks to the hand-wound 9S64 movement, makes it wear incredibly comfortably, slipping effortlessly under a cuff. The display case back invites you to be hypnotized by the mechanics, with the subtly placed "S" marking adding a personalized, historical touch. Every detail feels intentional. The subtle curvature of the sapphire crystal, the perfect proportions, and the satisfying click of the clasp – all harmonize in an understated, luxurious manner. The 72-hour power reserve means you can take it off for the weekend and come back to it ticking precisely, a reminder of the caliber's exceptional craftsmanship. A watch that whispers elegance.
DescriptionThe Grand Seiko SBGW260, a limited edition release of 350 pieces, celebrates Seiko's 140th Anniversary. Its construction centers around an 18k rose gold case, measuring 38.0mm in diameter, 45.8mm lug-to-lug, and a slender 10.9mm in thickness. This case showcases a see-through back, fixed with six screws, allowing visual access to the movement. A dual-curved sapphire crystal, treated with an anti-reflective coating on its inner surface, protects the dial. The case integrates with a crocodile leather strap, 19mm in width, secured by a three-fold clasp with a push-button release, and configured for a maximum perimeter of 200mm. The total assembly weighs 94 grams, exhibiting splash resistance and a magnetic resistance up to 4,800 A/m. The 18K rose gold material extends to the construction of the watch's crown.

Internally, the timepiece is driven by the manual winding Caliber 9S64. This movement, featuring 24 jewels, provides an approximate power reserve of 72 hours (3 days). Its precision is noteworthy, with a mean daily rate ranging from +5 to -3 seconds per day. This figure is derived from tests conducted before the movement's casing, where it's assessed in six positions within a controlled environment over 12 days. In normal use, the accuracy range is rated between +10 to -1 seconds per day. Additionally, and in a subtle nod to the anniversary, a gold plate on the movement’s bridge carries an engraved "S" trademark—a symbol registered in 1900 by Kintaro Hattori for the Seikosha factory. A unique serial number will be etched directly on the back case.
